One of the city’s leading department stores, Galeries Lafayette has an annex location beneath the Montparnasse Tower that is often free of crowds. I love coming here for scarf shopping, as it’s smaller in size and frequented mostly by locals. Don’t miss the Christmas market that sets up shop around the store during the holiday season. For the rest of the year, come to shop and then head up to the 56th floor of the Montparnasse Tower for a drink at the Ciel de Paris with unbeatable views of the city.
