Soong Kee Beef noodles has been around for a long long time. Imagine my friend of almost 60 years old says that he’s been eating at Soong Kee since he was in high school. That’s at least 40 years there ! The modest shoplot is swarmed with dedicated patrons. Fortunately the turnover time is pretty fast you’ll just have to be patient to get your table. Remember to check out for more tables upstairs.

Soong Kee Beef Noodles (Non-Halal) Since World War II in 1945, Soong Kee restaurant in Jalan Silang has been famous for its Hakka noodles, topped with beef or pork minced meat sauce and served with a bowl of beef ball soup. Beside mixture of beef and pork, the ground pork is also sauted with garlic and black soy sauce. This keeps the patrons coming back for more and on top of that their own created chili sauce is also an attractive to a lot of people who patronise the stall. Today, it is operated by Mr Siew Wei Han, the son of the founder who maintains the same quality in taste especially its trademark beef balls that are springy and smooth. Signature Dishes: Triple Noodle (dry) & Triple Noodle Soup Address: 86, Jalan Tun H S Lee, City Centre, 50050 Kuala Lumpur. Operating Hours: 11am - 10pm (Monday - Saturday) Tel: 03-2078 1484

A short walk away from Central Market, this place serves great beef ball noodles (dry) - and also good porridge (with chicken, pork or raw fish) from 6pm onwards.
