Just a short distance from Blueberry Hill is one of the most remote pristine wilderness areas on the East Coast. While some call it the Grand Canyon of the East, I think that's a stretch, but it is spectacular and a real challenge to avid hikers.

Shortoff Mountain Trail at Linville Gorge is accessible right from the Shack at Shortoff. Way too much to mention here... with days of hiking and some of the most amazing views in Western NC. The Linville Gorge draws folks from all over the US. Known as the Grand Canyon of the south, it truly is awe inspiring.
