Nestled at the foothills of the Wichita Mountains, the Take a Hike Cabin at The Lazy Buffalo portrays the captivating landscape that awaits you in the Wichita Mountains where you can find 59,000 acres of mixed prairie grass, ancient mountains, lakes, streams, and miles upon miles of trails waiting to be discovered. The Lazy Buffalo has 13 themed cabins. The spacious Take a Hike Cabin is handicap accessible, sleeps 2 guests, and offers a king size bed and bathroom with a roll in tiled shower.

It is a 1907 bungalow that has been completely remodeled but maintains the historical charm. When you walk through the door you are walking into the splendor of an era gone by. Our Wheeler St. bungalow is located off of one of the main arteries in Vernon, TX. It is perfectly located for our Summer's Last Blast Cruise weekend. We are 1 block off of Wilbarger St (business 287). We are walking distance to 2 restaurants and a snow cone stand. Our place is pet friendly and has a wonderful backyard for your fur baby to enjoy. Lots of squirrels to keep them entertained too. We are approximately 50 minutes from Wichita Falls, TX & 35 minutes to Altus, OK.
