This is a 2h outdoor historic walking, starts from the Basilica of Santa Croce (Meeting point) and continues towards the Brunelleschi's Dome. I will guide you through understanding how Florence dominated the world in the past centuries and enchanted it with its art and crafts. You will learn about its past through the fascinating biographies of its great citizens: Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Dante, and many others, and with a special focus on the Medici Family that dominated the city for three centuries! While being carried away in Florence intriguing past, you will be able to see the city's beating center, breath in its vibrant and charming atmosphere and walk past many of its must-visit famous monumnets and my favorite hidden gems. * In the summer my tour at 7PM is the best to avoid the crowds, the sultry heat and the the city is fabulous at sunset! Hidden Florence

Forget the boring explanation of churches and monuments: Florence is an open-air museum but also a city full of tradition and anecdotes. My tour will be a journey through time to discover the identity of the city through its illustrious protagonists. You'll start in Piazza della Repubblica, where the Romans founded Florence over 2000 years ago. In Piazza del Duomo you'll admire with me the imposing facade of the Cathedral, in which the bloodiest murder that involved the Medici family took place: the Pazzi conspiracy. In the nearby 'medieval district' I'll tell you the story of Dante Alighieri, the poet who wrote the Divine Comedy. Michelangelo, Donatello and Cellini are other great personalities that will accompany us to the discovery of Piazza della Signoria. Piazza degli Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio will be other important stages of your itinerary. Lucca Food Adventure

We will discover Lucca through the five senses, by walking along the main attractions of the town: the ring walls, the Cathedral, the Amphitheatre square and many other places, but we will also stroll through hidden corners and less touristy medieval alleys. In this way we will let people enjoy both, the must-see and the unknown side of town. Our adventure will be experienced through the sense of sight, by admiring the outstanding architecture, the gorgeous nature and the energetic lifestyle of Lucca and through the sense of sound, by getting to know the interesting history of the town, the elegant art and the deep tradition of music with its important musicians who were born here. Our walk will continue by using the other three senses of taste, smell and touch: we are going to stop in a few local shops savouring our food specialties and traditional gastronomy. We will start with a sweet introduction during our breakfast moment and we will end with a savoury antipasto served with a local glass of wine just before lunch time. Salute! Cheers! Over the hills and far away

ll tour vi permetterà di visitare i principali siti d'interesse paesaggistico della Toscana. Visiteremo insieme la Val d’Orcia e in particolare la zona delle Crete senesi, il Site transitoire, l’area dell’Agriturismo Baccoleno, il paesino di Chiusure, i cipressi di San Quirico, la meravigliosa città di Pienza (patrimonio dell’Unesco), il punto dove hanno girato il film Il Gladiatore (Pieve di Corsignano / Agriturismo Terrapille), la sorprendente Bagno Vignoni e infine Poggio Covili. Il tour dura 7 ore. Si può scegliere di partire di mattina o di pomeriggio. Il tour di mattina (orario 10-17) prevede il pranzo a Pienza (non compreso nel prezzo) con degustazione di prodotti tipici. Il tour pomeridiano (orario 14-21) prevede un aperitivo a Pienza (non compreso nel prezzo), una degustazione di pecorini (compresa nel prezzo), la visione del tramonto a Baccoleno. Il sabato ci troveremo in Piazza Tasso, 10 minuti a piedi da Ponte Vecchio (circa 800 mt). La domenica ci troveremo alla caffetteria di Ponte Santa Trinita, 3 minuti a piedi da Ponte Vecchio (circa 300 mt). Il rientro è previsto a Ponte Santa Trinita. Have you ever wondered what's the story behind that statue in the corner of that intersection, that rock in a middle of a piazza, that weird shaped street lantern or why some people call that street differently from what's written in your map? Well my friend those are the legends of our beautiful city that only us that live here know the true story behind it. Passed on from generation to generation I will share with you FLORENCE as it was never told or written in books. We will go thru the highlights of the city but mostly the hidden gems where you will be seeing things that no tours offer and hear the City Stories that you can't find in any of the history books. I'm not certified nor very well informed to tell you HISTORY which you can easily find online but I will share with you the stories and the legends of this city that only us, the people of Florence know and can pass along with narration. I'll bestow upon you my keys to unlock perks at my local faves in Florence during your stay. Other things to note Please let me know in advance of any cardiovascular/respiratory issues or food allergies. Tuscany and Florence countryside biking and tasting at Villa

** Check out my other bike and E-bike tours by clicking on my profile pic and scroll down!! ** Want to take a break from the crazy crowds of the city? Join me on this panoramic half-day ride! Starting from the quiet "Oltrarno" area of Florence, we will immerse in the Tuscan countryside with its vineyards, olive groves, and lovely rural roads. I will provide you with 24-speed touring bikes. Electric bikes might be available if you ask in advance (limited number!) - please ask for them asap! We will cycle along ancient roads to reach a countryside venue that produces extra virgin olive oil, surrounded by pristine nature. Here we will learn how extra virgin olive oil is produced in Tuscany. Then, we will relax in the gardens to taste local wine and handmade olive oil, paired with a Tuscan appetizer of local products and when available their limited stash of Tuscan honey. After the break, we get some more biking and we will stop at San Miniato al Monte Church for the best view of the city. In just half a day, this route is a perfect combination of cycling through Tuscany, seeing Florence from the hilltops, and tasting local produce while experiencing the beauty of the Tuscan countryside. There are some hills to climb (4) on tour (11km/8 miles distance and 140m elevation gain), so get ready for a little workout! (I call it a moderate level, easy if you are used to biking).

Tour dans les collines près de Florence

Je viens vous chercher à 500 mètres de la gare SMN de Florence chez Arnold's et je vous emmènerai à Signa, un village tranquille à seulement 20 minutes de Florence, l'endroit idéal pour visiter la campagne Toscane. Nous passerons par des routes peu fréquentées pour rejoindre le village de Artimino qui abrite l'une des villas Médicis, construite en 1596. Elle domine les vallées environnantes pleines d'oliveraies et de vignobles. Sur le chemin, nous visiterons également une ancienne usine d'explosifs de l'extérieur, racontant l'histoire de ce site inconnu du tourisme de masse. La balade étant ponctuée de plusieurs ascensions vous aurez besoin d'être habitués. Vous pouvez louer un VTT léger avec changement de vitesse pour 15 € (à payer séparément) ou un VTT électrique pour 25 € (à payer séparément). We will meet you at the harbor in Riomaggiore, and then embark on our magical sunset tour. During the tour, we will slowly cruise up the Cinque Terre coast, stopping in front of each village to give you the opportunity to take photos of the villages from the sea, which is hands down, the best way to capture each village's beauty. Once we reach Monterosso, we will turn around and slowly head back to Riomaggiore. With the sun setting behind us, you will have the perfect view to capture magnificent photos. Jump on e-bikes to the Florentine hills

First, we'll take some minutes to take confidence with the engine of the e-bikes; you don't need to be particularly fit even if we'll cover hilly roads; the engine makes the effort for you. In a couple of minutes, we'll leave the city center to reach the countryside towards the south area of Florence. Through a nice bike path, we'll get to the most popular panoramic view over the city of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo. From there, we can admire from the distance all the architectures of the city. With the use of the electric engine, in no time we'll be in the area of Arcetri, where the scenary is totally different: no tourists,olives groves, small vineyards, typical Tuscan countryside. I'll tell you something about our local products such as the Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the wine. Electric bikes, nature, green colors, red poppies and birds cheeping are the context of this ride. After the ride, we'll get back to the city center to taste a wonderful gelato in one of the best spots in town! If you have kids, please contact me!
