Brecon Beacons National Park and the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are both within 10 miles. For those that like mountain walking, you will be spoilt for choice. There is a variety of attractions including walks from the property and in the local area, castles, Tintern Abbey, the River Wye, Roman Caerleon, horse riding, cycling & golf. It is a 2 minute walk to the village shop, garage & new coffee shop. The village pub is closed at the moment, there are 3 other good food pubs each just over 2 miles away.

We are close to all amenities, cycle trails, river activities and the best of what the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley has to offer.

Cosy cottage in Usk with wood-burner and parking

This cosy cottage is just yards from the town centre and enjoys uninterrupted views over the River Usk and it's famous bridge. It is an ideal base for a week's exploration of South Wales, or a long weekend away if visiting Usk or it's surroundings. The cottage has one standard size double bedroom as well as a smaller bedroom which is equipped with a "small" double bed. Recently refurbished throughout, this cottage is a perfect home away from home (and has an off-street parking space).

The Garden House is a peaceful stone cottage set in the historic gardens of High Glanau Manor, the home of H. Avray Tipping (1855-1933) the Architectural Editor of Country Life Magazine from 1907. High Glanau Manor is an important Arts & Crafts house set in 12 acres of gardens designed in 1922. The gardens retain many original features including formal terraces, octagonal pool, glasshouse, pergola and 100 ft long double herbaceous borders. There are spectacular views to the Brecon Beacons

Beautiful , private accommodation in part of our home with stunning views. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and a queen sized bed in the second . The bathroom has both a bath & a shower. The cosy sitting room has a log burning stove and a door to the shared garden. We provide a loaf of home made bread and marmalade plus butter, home made marmalade & jam, milk, tea and coffee. The Hall Inn pub is just 200 yards away and a short drive to Usk and Raglan and the Brecon Beacons

We are in a great spot for the Forest of Dean, the Brecon Beacons, Bike Park Wales, Cannop Cycle Centre and the Offa’s Dyke Path. There are lovely walks right from the door and so much to do nearby!
