Erwin is a small town with a movie theater, library, lots of fast food places and a few food trucks..there is a decent bbq place - the Hawg & Dawg, and is 20 minutes to Johnson City..It has been a good place for medical students and travel nurses to stay.. I am 45 minutes from Asheville, NC; Jonesborough and the International Storytelling Center is 20 miles away and Bristol is about 45 minutes away. The Fairy Tale cottage is a Sears and Roebuck house kit built in the early 1920's.The private apartment,separate from the rest of the house, has one queen bed and a roll away twin bed is available as well.
