Located near the end of a quiet dead end road in Welches, Oregon. Short path to Sandy River. Easy access to HWY 26 and only 15 minutes to Government Camp or Sandy Ridge mountain biking. Enjoy the relaxing surroundings while staying in a newly renovated cabin with all the comforts of home. 2 night min. stay seasonally/Fri/Sat but possibly accept a 1 night stay...just ask. Hood, cozy up by the fire, or have a group meal & play games at the large dining table. This two bedroom two full bath cabin also has an adjoining loft with extra sleep space . The Zig Zag river is a short walk away. Snow sports, & hiking spots are also nearby. Restaurants & groceries, are within a mile of the cabin. Come cozy up & relax!

***IMPORTANT***From December - April we maintain access to the basement apartment unit from Friday-Sunday (ski season!). This is an entirely separate unit with separate entrances. There are no spaced spaces. There will be no interaction. If you're OK with this, please proceed! Escape straight to the 70s in this woodsy retro cabin, a true gem perched in the trees in Rhododendron near Mt. Hood. Imagine relaxing in the hot tub under the stars listening to the seasonal stream babble below!

Escape to the Happy Fox Cabin in Rhododendron, Oregon at the base of Mt Hood in PNW! Near Government Camp and only 45 minutes from Portland airport. A fully equipped cabin with high end amenities. Unwind outside to the sounds of a running creek, soak in the hot tub under the stars, or gather around the fire pit. Hike or bike on hundreds of nearby trails, ski at Timberline, Skibowl or Meadows or paddleboard and kayak at Trillium Lake. Plenty of amazing local restaurants and conveniences!

Our wonderful guest house is a cozy studio with a queen bed, kitchen, sofa, and dining table in one large room. There is a bathroom with shower. This is a second floor apartment over the detached garage, we live in the main house next door. The property is very secluded well off the road with no other houses nearby and borders the National Forest. Enjoy the spring fed pond in the front yard, a hike along the Sandy river, or a 15 min drive to ski resorts.

*water pressure issue has been fixed! Niksen House is located just outside of Mt. Hood National Forest, 20 minutes from ski areas and an hour from Portland. The cabin is in a rural residential community and sits next to a 1/2 acre lot giving it an off-the-grid feel with all of the on-the-grid amenities.
