Sustainable Printmaking class in Margaret River

Bring your photo with you at the studio and we'll generate an original print out of it! Through different traditional, sustainable and experimental processes we will translate a photo from your journey to a cool print printed on cotton paper like back in the old days. We will pull a couple of professional prints for each participant. It’s a good way to focus on quality outcomes and push the artistic boundaries. You will leave with knowledge on how to continue this practice in your own home with little equipment even though for the best outcome the printing press is required. The world is yours to create with. Other things to note We are not working with toxic materials, all inks are water and oil based though bring an old shirt incase you get dirty!

Make a mug from clay in a stunning Fremantle pottery studio

Join me for a couple of hours of pottery in a relaxed and calming studio. Don't be nervous about how creative you think you are, everyone makes beautiful mugs in my classes. I promise you won't be the exception! Even if the last time you used some clay was in school, or if you've never worked with clay at all. The classes I teach are easy for any skill level. We won't be using a wheel, it's all hand building. More than learning technical skills, the workshop is about taking time out for yourself. You'll work with your hands with the clay and as you're creating you'll bring awareness to the present moment that's grounding and peaceful. There's no pressure to create a particular style, you'll be gently guide to create something that you'll love. Shipping is NOT included in the class price, but will be set based on the weight of your piece. Other things to note; If you'd like to keep your piece the Winterwares team will glaze and fire it after your class. This process takes a couple of weeks. You can arrange to have it shipped to your home address. You can pay for shipping after the class (We have eftpos / credit payment). Shipping costs depend on size and weight.

Wine and Adventure Tour hosted by Sean

It’s the wine and nature lovers’ experience with the works! Limited to only 6 guests, travelling in a luxury 4WD, this is the tour for people who don’t do tours, hosted by local guide - Sean Blocksidge. • Start the day with a canoe trip down a stunning section of the tranquil Margaret River. You won’t get wet, dirty or fall in. It’s a peaceful beginning to our day of highlights. • We then head to the beach to see how the winemakers relax – a coffee while we check the surf at one of the region’s top beach breaks. • Our next stop is an ancient waterhole to spot freshwater Marron and wildlife and to taste local honey while we reflect on Aboriginal history dating back more than 30,000 years. • Lunch at one the region’s most celebrated emerging superstar wineries –Fraser Gallop Estate – is our next highlight. We have exclusive access to the working winery and vineyard and savour some of the best wines in the region matched with local produce while seated among barrels of ageing wine. • We finish our day with a 4WD adventure and walk on a spectacular section of the Cape to Cape Track – the Wilyabrup Cliffs. We have special government approval to use a 4WD track that offers stunning cliff top views. High above the Indian Ocean the epic scenery, fresh sea breezes and surrounding ancient soils provide a deeper understanding of the unique terroir of the Margaret River region. Other things to note A lot of people are concerned about the canoeing. Those same people usually rate it the highlight of the day ! Rest assured it's a calm tranquil river and stable canoes, you won't get wet or dirty and definitely won't fall in. We have a 100% success rate of keeping people clean and dry.

Bushwalk with Bob

Let me help you dispel fears of the bush and organise the logistics needed to experience bushwalking, including, holding an online meeting to identify your specific needs. We meet at the start of the Bushwalk; show you the beautiful flora such as the different species of eucalyptus trees, and wild flowers. The walk itself takes about 3 hours, but depending on fitness levels, and actual length of time taken for mandatory rest stops, total time in the bush could be up to five hours. Other things to note Bushwalking is a serious activity & comes with some risk of illness and injury from dehydration (common), sprains, falls, or snake bite (rare). Be prepared, get clearance from your medical doctor, and buy comprehensive travel insurance.

Cape Naturaliste Afternoon sailing

We will pick you up at the beach opposite 134 Geographe bay road in our tender and zip you out to the yacht anchored in Old Dunsborough set among crystal clear waters of Geographe Bay. We will hoist the sails and for two hours peacefully explore the stunning coastline of Cape Naturalist and with any luck we will get to see dolphins and/or whales. As we head back you will be given the chance to take the helm and have a lesson in how to sail. We also do a 3hr lunch time cruise cape Naturaliste or 2 he sunset cruise which can be found on Airbnb.

We will pick you up on the beach opposite 134 Geographe Bay Road. Park on the road beach side a wander down the beach track and we will get you in our tender and take you for a spin out to the yacht. The yacht is anchored in the crystal clear waters of Geographe Bay near old Dunsborough. We will hoist the sails and peacefully explore the stunning coastline of Cape Naturalist and with any luck we will get to see dolphins and whales. Around lunchtime we will drop anchor for a swim, snorkel and relax. BYO lunch and any alcohol. As we head back you will be given the chance to take the helm and if you would like ask all you would like to know on how to sail.
