Your stay helps support our project, Enjojo Farms: a conservation drive to reduce human-wildlife conflict and promote sustainable beekeeping practices.

Crater Lake House - Crater lake views

Crater Lake House is a large house with an open living and dining space at the centre of which is a cozy fireplace. Enjoy spectacular views of Kyaninga Crater Lake and the Mountains of the Moon. This serene getaway is a 20 minute drive from Fort Portal. The lake is clean and safe to swim in, and you can enjoy beautiful walks along the 4 km rim, and/or explore the Crater. A fun get away for families. Breakfast available $10 pp. Grocery shopping $5. Takeaway services are also available.

Ever slept in a tree house with an amazing view of two lakes, a mountain range and endless green? Welcome at my home - am living off the grid settled in a peaceful community for the last eight years. A simple life that will give you goosebumps of joy! 75% for the night is supporting Toonda Cultural Center. Start a campfire, order a candle-lit dinner, enjoy a massage, embrace the sounds of nature, roll out the yoga mat and take a bite of pineapples, avocados from my garden.

Lake Kerere Cottage

Enjoy this stunning location, with incredible views over Lake Kerere and Kibale National Park, with the Rwenzoris Mountains as your other view. There are 2 full time staff to help with washing dishes and cleaning. The cottage is situated on 27 acres of private land with 800 meters of lawn on the crater lake rim - all to yourself. It is a 45 minute drive to the chimp tracking starting point. It’s a great spot to go for walks, runs, bike rides and swim in the crater lakes.

Moonflower

Perched right on the rim of volcanic Lake Kyaninga, Moonflower is the best-view home near Fort Portal. Wake up to colobus monkeys, crested cranes, and the Mountains of the Moon from your private balcony and meditation/yoga space. 4 bedrooms, full kitchen, and 5 acres of tropical garden make this perfect for families, friends and safari groups visiting Kibale. Our cottage on the edge of the world was built by hand with regional materials. In a village near the town of Fort Portal (30 min), you will find peace, hospitality and a sense of community. A perfect space for volunteers and vacationers who want to support a grassroots organization (even for a longer period of time). The cottage is part of the community organization Kuza Omuto and a local school. So you will experience the real village life of West Uganda .
