The Stables

The original stable to historic 160 year old Telegraph House has been renovated to a self contained one bedroom guesthouse with new en-suite , living area and well equipped kitchenette with fridge, microwave, cooktop and coffee machine. The living area has a wood burner fireplace, table and chairs, sofa, television, internet (NBN) and French doors opening onto verandah. The property has a secure yard and stall for a horse - $20 per night - and plenty of secure off street parking for a rig.

THE STABLE is a modern granny flat with 1 comfortable queen sized bed, open plan kitchen and lounge room, air conditioning close to Hunter Valley Vineyards with only a 15-20 min CAR RIDE to all main attractions and concert venues. Our flat is semi attached to our main house but has private entrance, we also have a mini dash Wonka that will be more than happy to say hello when he’s out & about. Please also note CHECK IN IS 2PM and CHECK OUT is 10am ! * All towels and bedding provided by me :)

The Birdnest

Relax & unwind at this unique and tranquil getaway. It's all about the views, cosy atmosphere, serenity & proximity to Dungog services. With a wrap-around balcony on two sides, the view from both inside & outside takes in glimpses of Barrington Tops National Park to the north, expansive views of surrounding farms, valleys & hills to the east & south, and the township of Dungog below. The native birds at dusk are a delight. "The Birdnest" is ideal for up to 2 couples, or a family of 4 (or 5?).

We are ideally situated for those who need to break their journey. We are approximately an 7 1/2 hour drive from Brisbane and 4 1/2 hours from Sydney and we are located 2 minutes off the New England Highway. It is a fully self contained, air conditioned cottage with a large bedroom, separate bathroom, lounge & fully equipped kitchen, situated in a quiet rural environment. Murray is a two-bedroom cottage with two queen beds. It has beautiful views of neighbouring vineyards, and is quiet and peaceful. For weekend bookings, a minimum of two guests is required. The cottage is five minutes drive from Hunter Valley galleries and major wineries and restaurants, and less than two hours from Sydney. The cottage is kept meticulously clean by our long-term housekeeper, who uses alcohol-based cleaning agents. Generous, reduced rates are available for week-long stays.

The Old School Weather Shed, Gundy

The Old School Weathershed is located in the small and vibrant village of Gundy, 20km east of Scone in the Upper Hunter. Boasting lovely scenery, horse studs, cycling and bushwalking it is a beautiful, tranquil part of NSW with plenty to see and do. The Old School of Gundy was built in the late 1800's and converted to a stunning home in recent times. The Weather Shed is the children's playground shelter, beautifully converted into luxury guest accommodation.
