There is an inverter with solar panels and batteries as back up for the lights, fridge, WiFi, TV's, DSTV, air con/heater and some plugs if there is no electricity due to load shedding or a fault. The gas two plate and gas geyser are an option to the electric.

Gazebo also re-thatched, so slowly we continuously upgrade the property.
