The Hayloft. Self contained Accommodation

Enjoy a stay in our beautiful converted Hayloft. Entrance is at ground level through your storage area and boot room. A short, steep wooden staircase leads to the rooms above with their wonderful beams and vaulted ceilings. With views over the village green, and its own private little walled garden, The Hayloft provides the perfect place to unwind. The beautiful Essex and Suffolk countryside is on your doorstep, with its many historic towns, villages, pubs and footpaths for you to explore.

The Globe’s Flat

The Globe is a CAMRA Award winning, wet sales only, real ale & live music pub in the the medieval wool town of Clare. The flat is directly above & has it's own front door to stairs leading to kitchenette with fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle & toaster, bathroom with power shower, sitting room & 2 connected bedrooms. Dogs are welcome, but must be pre-booked. Expect noise from the pub whilst open! We shut by 11pm every day except Sunday when we have live music from 2pm - 5pm, then shut at 7pm.

Lavender Cottage, Clare

Lavender cottage is small yet perfectly formed and retains many of the original 400 year old features with some modern touches to make your stay a comfortable one. Nestled amongst the ancient buildings of Clare. From your doorstep, there are pubs, independent shops, tea rooms, castle, museum and church. For nature lovers the River Stour Valley is a four minute walk away, with plenty of open countryside to enjoy. Just an 1hr 30 minutes drive from London, on arrival ditch the car and chill out.

Victorian country cottage

Centrally located to enjoy the beautiful Suffolk countryside, Honeybee is within walking distance of the delightful village of Cavendish, a short drive to Long Melford, Clare and historic Lavenham with its famous timber-framed houses and just 12 miles from the Cathedral town of Bury St Edmunds. Honeybee is a well-equipped end of terrace. The village has a pub boasting delicious home-cooked food, a Chinese, fish and chip shop and social club along with two mini supermarkets, and pharmacy.

Toppesfield Wine Centre is a contemporary ‘Scandi-style villa’ with a large open plan lounge/dining area which has a giant picture window overlooking Toppesfield Vineyard and full height glass sliding doors looking out onto a beautiful garden/ private patio with a large outside dining table and a luxurious day bed. It has a luxury bedroom with superking bed, view over the vineyard, luxury bathroom, tennis court and 4 person jacuzzi (2nd bedroom available via Airbnb 4 person listing)

There is outside dining space on the terrace. Situated on the Essex/Suffolk borders between Clare and Haverhill with Cambridge 35 minutes drive and Bury St Edmunds 40 minutes. Perfect for exploring the Suffolk countryside, quiet working space, or a weekend break. Dogs welcome on request.

The Hayloft

The Hayloft offers recently built, luxury accommodation right in the heart of Clare. Perfect for couples, there is so much to see and do here - with restaurants, pubs and traditional tea-rooms on the doorstep. Beautiful countryside awaits those who enjoy walking - the Stour Valley runs through Clare Country Park - or why not visit historic Bury St Edmunds, with its theatres, restaurants and world-famous Greene King brewery. NB we no longer accept bookings with dogs.

The Hedgerow Hut

The Hedgerow Hut is a cosy retreat nestled in it's own field in peaceful countryside near Clare, Suffolk. Made by the Suffolk Hutmakers, The Hedgerow Hut offers a beautifully handcrafted, bespoke hut to relax and reconnect. With underfloor heating, a log burner, fully equipped kitchen, shower room and king size bed, the hut offers a luxury getaway. Clare, Lavenham, Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge are all within 50 minutes. A perfect base to explore the local area.

Our guest annexe is a charming and cosy base in the heart of Suffolk's "Constable Country". The annexe is located a 10 -1 5 minute's walk from the popular and historic market village of Clare. Clare has an array of cafes, pubs, independent shops, an excellent butcher and beautiful country park. A ten minute drive will take you to Long Melford with further boutiques, cafes and several pubs. 17 minutes away is the world famous medieval wool village of Lavenham.

Upstairs are a double and single bedroom, and a bathroom with separate bath and power shower.
