The Studio consists of 2 rooms: Bedroom with double bed on the GROUND FLOOR, with WC/Shower. UPSTAIRS sitting room, TV, sofa, books.. IMPORTANT: there isn’t a kitchen but a mini fridge and a microwave, cutlery/bowels The Studio has private entrance from the GARDEN door on the right of the main house, with a secluded walled courtyard with decking NOTE: 1. there is NO guaranteed parking nearby. 2 there are several steep/uneven steps, so it’s NOT suitable if you have mobility limitations.

This eco friendly home has air sourced underfloor heating throughout and contains many upcycled items from the exterior reclaimed scaffolding boards to the many repurposed gems to be found inside. Stepping outside there is a private south facing patio and garden with its own parking space, all just a leisurely walk from town.

Situated in the medieval grid near the historic Theatre Royal. Less than a 5 minute walk to the centre of town, to the Abbey Gardens, Abbey ruins and the historic St Edmundsbury Cathedral. Bury St Edmunds is a medieval market town and is known as the foodie capital of Suffolk with an abundance of restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars. Free car parking in secure garage but please note maximum height is 1.7m. If needed we can assist with street parking for other vehicles

Your home away from home

The house was tastefully decorated in July 2023 and comprises of a full kitchen, king bedroom with shower ensuite and a double bedroom with shower/bathroom to suit up to four guests. Located a 30 min stroll to the Abbey Gardens, St Edmundsbury Cathedral and the many restaurants/cafes of Bury St Edmunds. The house is also only a 30 min walk to the West Suffolk Hospital, so is an ideal base whether it be to explore Bury or to visit patients or work at the hospital.

The station in the local village of Thurston offers regular services to Cambridge and Norwich.
