We invite you to our refurbished spacious 2 bedroom (sleeps 4/6 + cot) barn conversion with private fenced garden set in a peaceful hamlet in the French countryside.‭ A warm welcome awaits nature lovers and families or couples looking for a peaceful French getaway. We are very fortunate to be within a few minutes of Les Lacs des Haute Charente. Lac de Lavaud has two beaches, is a swimming lake, it has a children's play area, nautical centre (hiring paddle boards, etc), bars and restaurants.

Bienvenue dans notre gîte chaleureux, niché dans l’ancienne briqueterie du Grand Madieu, entièrement rénové il y a 3 ans. Parfaitement adapté pour les groupes et les familles, nous l'avons équipé comme s'il s'agissait de notre propre maison, pour que chacun s’y sente bien. Situé en bordure de village, avec un accès direct aux sentiers de campagne et des forêts environnantes, c’est un refuge idéal pour les amoureux de nature. Venez vivre un séjour paisible et convivial en Charente Limousine!

Salle d’eau. Toilettes. Grand séjour avec canapé convertible. 2 chambres (1 avec lit double, 1 avec lit double + lit simple). Une buanderie. Terrasse sur le grand jardin sans vis à vis. On the square opposite the church, with countryside views across the pretty river Clain and its medieval bridge, the house combines a sense of history with modern convenience and plenty of space. Ideal for families or groups of friends with a games room and a pool, there is plenty to do, and it is also a great base to explore the Vienne and Charente. Please note there is a minimum 3 night stay.

Our house is on the verge of the countryside, at a 2-minute walk from the quaint market-town of Confolens. You can walk to the shops, the market, or the cinema, or hike along the two rivers or on the neighbouring hill-tops. Plenty to do in Confolens: you can swim, rail-bike, canoe, attend our music festival or discover Charente limousine. If you like old houses, you'll enjoy our home with its spacious rooms. It is a family house, fitted for young children. The garden is fenced and shady.
