Located in the heart of Hakuba Valley, this natural stone villa was newly built, nestled among the trees in a holiday homes area. It overlooks the Japanese Northern Alps. The backyard deck view of the birds’ daily visit to the birdbath will make you feel healed and relaxed. 虫倉山の麓、標高800m、棚田、トタン屋根の古民家が融合するどこか懐かしい風景が目の前に広がる小さな集落のなかに古民家あまねはあります。 江戸時代後期に建てられ、明治初期には寺子屋を開いていたと聞いています。太い大黒柱をはじめ、家自体の存在感、集落、ロケーションが気にいって移住し、以降、セルフリノベーションを積み重ねてきました。 歴史的風合いをできるかぎり残すために古材を使って施工しています。 床板は畳の下に敷かれていた栗材や米棚の板の再利用です。庭から出てきた敷石は五右衛門風呂に、長屋門で使われていた蔵の戸は玄関に再利用しています。 夏は扇風機のみで過ごしています。反対に冬は隙間風が入ってとても寒く感じると思いますが、セルフビルドのオンドル（床暖房）や五右衛門風呂など少しでも暖かくすごすための暮らしの工夫もぜひ体感していただきたいことの1つです。 ホストと共に古民家暮らしを体験する宿、古民家あまね。 日常から離れた静かな山里で、稀有な時間をごゆっくりお楽しみください。
