The Hut on the Brett

Our shepherd’s hut is situated in a private part of our garden on the banks of the River Brett in the historic village of Lavenham, a two-minute walk from the Market Place with its Medieval Guildhall and Little Hall, a 14th century hall house. Lavenham has much to offer with its listed buildings, independent shops, restaurants, pubs and two small but well-stocked supermarkets. Footpaths make it easy to access the surrounding countryside and enjoy views of the village and its magnificent church.

Nestled beside a 99 acre ancient woodland, the lodge is an escape to peaceful rural life where you're surrounded by nature and wildlife. Views from the lodge across the fields where you might see deer, hare, foxes, buzzards, red kites, and beautiful sun sets. Dogs welcome. Under 2 hours from London and an hour from Cambridge, we are 3.5 miles from the historic town of Eye, which has grocery stores, butcher's and a fantastic deli. Rural, yet under a mile away from two of the best food pubs in Mid-Suffolk, you will be staying in the heart of the East Anglian countryside surrounded by fields, woodland and wildlife.

Peacock is a beautiful Shepherd Hut hidden in the quiet woods of historic Ketteringham Hall. A superb place to explore nearby Norwich & Norfolk. The Broads & Norfolk coast are close.
