Revamped Minimalist Stone Country House

Nestled on the foot of mount Giouchtas, in the picturesque village of Archanes, our stone countryhouse is located in one of the most central and beautiful parts of the area. Archanes are 20 minutes away from the centre of Heraklion(15km), 15 minutes away from Heraklion's International airport, 15 minutes away from the famous Minoan palace of Knossos, as well as 20 minutes away from numerous beautiful beaches. Situated in the center of the most important wine-producing region of Crete, it has a 5000 years old history, while excavations conducted in the last 50 years have brought to light a lot of sites dating back to the Minoan period. The village is also very famous for its typical Cretan architecture. Most of the houses have been restored recently and Archanes has won the second award as “the best restored village in Europe”. The house enjoys a spacious interior and a private garden, which is protected by a peripheral wall. This is a typical characteristic of old Cretan houses of the area. Guests enter the private garden through the gate which then leads to the main building. I am always at the disposal of my guests, so that I can make their holiday problem-free. My guests can reach me at my mobile phone, text me or send a message directly to my inbox. Furthermore, there is a free parking very close to the house. The country house is only 20’ away from the “Nikos Kazantzakis Airport” and the port. The archeological site of Knossos is 15’ away.

Our house is located in Milatos;a largely unspoilt, traditional village in Crete's Lasithi region and it’s divided into the inland and the beach. Milatos inland is a picturesque place surrounded by olive groves, where you can stroll through its narrow streets,spot traditional homes and visit the cave just outside the village. Milatos beach is a by-the-sea development where you can visit the fishing harbor and its sandy and calm beach, nearby taverns and several pebble beaches and secluded coves.

Yaya's cozy House with Herb Garden.

Yaya ‘s (grandmother’s) house, is located on the main road of the village and is easily accessible by car, with FREE parking on the street, within a short distance from the house. The house is 60 square meters (m²) with a mezzanine 20 m². There is a yard outside, where a beautiful path will lead you to the herbal garden and a great view of the mountains, where you can spend a lot of time smelling different types of herbs. The lemon tree in the center of the garden will welcome you.

"Manousaki"traditional stone house

" Manousaki " is located in village Milatos surrounded by hight mountains and centuries old olive groves, near the sea. Absolutely harmonised with the village aesthetic and at the same time modernly renovated ,''Manousaki ''is a peaceful and safe destination for relaxing vacation. In just 10 min on foot or 3 min by car you arrive to the Milatos beach with traditional taverns and clean coasts . The village's beautiful alleys are also perfect for a stroll in the countryside.

Perfectly located in the adjoining field to the village of Myrsini, "Sotir Ali Stone House" is a beautiful stone built farmhouse that is perched among olive groves, overlooking the gulf of Mirabello. It is built on the exact same spot of an older lodging, a "magatze" as we call it here, that served our family during the olive's harvest. The name of the olive groves around the house is Sotirali and may be a corruption of the Turkish name "Sotir Αli".

Σε ένα μικρό χωριό , που απέχει μόλις μισή ώρα από το αεροδρόμιο Ηρακλείου και μυρίζει θάλασσα και θυμάρι , φτιάξαμε ένα διαμέρισμα φιλικό προς το περιβάλλον με άρωμα νησιού και χρώμα ελληνικό. In a little village, which is only a half hour away from the airport of Heraklion and it <<smells>> sea and thyme, we created an environmentally friendly apartment with flavor of an island and Greek color.
