Scenic Sunrise hike through Red Rocks

WHAT TO EXPECT: This hike in Red Rocks Colorado is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of nature without the physical demands of a strenuous hike. It is designed to be an easy, pleasant experience with plenty of time to take in the breathtaking views & get some amazing photos that your friends will envy. I will give you some of the history of the park and point out some interesting formations in the rocks. It typically takes between 70 and 80 minutes to complete, depending on the group. • Expect a hike that prioritizes focusing on the beauty around you rather than on the effort required to navigate the trail. • The hike is 1.5 miles and has a slight elevation of 325 feet on the last ½ of the hike. • Often, we will see some of the wildlife that call the park home. • After the hike, you can explore the amphitheater on your own while enjoying the snack & cold Frappuccino that I provide. The leisurely pace and peaceful surroundings make it easy to unwind and take in the amazing views. Great for team building, retreat/ bachelor/bachelorette groups or families with children 8 years or older. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times. Hikes will proceed in light rain, but will be canceled if conditions become unsafe, such as icy terrain. Uber/Lyft both come here and cost between $25-$35 one way. Please schedule this the night before.

Sunset Hike in the Rocky Mountains

Colorado at it's finest! Enjoy a magical sunset behind snowy peaks and a 1.5-2.5 hour easy/moderate hike. We'll stop for a break (feel free to bring snacks and drinks along), and will end the hike before it's completely dark. Transportation can be provided from the meeting spot to the trailhead for up to 4 guests; we encourage people to bring their own transportation. Guests who provide their own transportation and help drive others are eligible for a $10 refund. All level hikers are welcome but hikers should be in good physical shape and able to walk uphill for 1-2 hours at high altitude. Minimum group size is 2 hikers. Other things to note We meet at Launch Espresso Food Spirits (20 mins west of downtown Denver) and carpool to the trailhead. Learn FlyFishing Guided cast&fish clinic

I operate from May to October, All guests will need a fishing license, not provided, 1 day non-resident can be purchased online for $17/person. I provide all gear. We will meet and discuss the major concepts of fly fishing, casting and line control mechanics. I have some practice rods we will use to get comfortable with the motions, casting in grass to targets. We will discuss rod parts and rig up the fly rods and continue casting practice. When guests are comfortable with casting mechanics, we will move on to the terminal tackle discussion, I will show you a few knots and teach you how to rig up from fly line to leader to tippet to fly. At this point we are ~2 hours into the trip and we will break for lunch. That will leave us around 3 hours to fish, we will see a few different stretches of the river and work on line mending, or on-water line control. I will demo briefly and then help you achieve the necessary drag free drift, and most days we are rewarded with a hook up on a brown trout I’ll show you a couple techniques and explain what you’re trying to do and why it will or won’t take a fish. I’ll be there by your side to net your fish and take pics and high five you after we set it free. Let me know if you have any allergies, ie food allergies, bee allergies, etc. Make sure you bring sunglasses! Rain layer is recommended, bring a hat if you packed one!

Our morning will begin meeting in front of the Trading Post building. We will take our mats and head up to the amphitheater for a flow. Following yoga, we will hike along the Trading Post Trail where we will stop, pause, and take it all in! Silversmithing with a Local Artist

Experience the excitement of making your own piece of jewelry! This is a three hour hands-on workshop, in which you will learn the silversmithing fabrication techniques to make a sterling silver band ring. All materials and tools will be provided for the workshop. Just come, have fun and learn! During the workshop you will be lead step-by-step through the processes. It is a very safe environment, however each participate will be asked to sign a liability waiver and safety will be discussed. The process begins by measuring and cutting a piece a sterling silver the desired width of your ring. Next the metal is annealed with a torch. Annealing is the process of heating metal with a flame to make it malleable. After each time the metal is heated, it is cleaned in a solution to remove the oxidation that is created on the surface. Once the metal is prepared, you will have choices of hammers and metal stamps to texture a pattern onto the sterling silver, creating your personal design. Then the metal is cut to the length required for your ring size, formed into shape and soldered together. The final steps are refining, buffing and polishing your creation to have a beautiful shine! Rest assured that your safety is our priority. Regarding COVID-19, we have a cleaning protocol in place. Disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer are available for your use.

Hike with an Adventure Photographer

This experience is perfect for social media posts, proposals, and corporate events! You came to Denver to hike the mountains and take home memories. You want photos! However, you don't want to ask complete strangers to take photos for you. You also don't want your other photos to be all selfies! You want photos to be proud of. But, how do you begin to plan? That's where I come in! After you book an exciting hike with me, I send you out a questionnaire so I can learn what you want so I can tailor it to your needs. I call you the day before the hike to confirm everything for your exciting day out. On the day of the hike, I come to pick you up at your place in the Denver metro area an hour or so before sunrise. To document your adventure out in the mountains, I bring 2 professional DSLR cameras. Throughout the hike, I take photos of you, the group, the mountains and anything else you want. After the hike is done, you will safely arrive back at your place and will have the rest of the day to reflect on the fact that you did so much before lunch. You'll begin with a blank canvas, and by the end, you’ll have created a joyful painting filled with all of Bob's favorite elements: clouds, mountains, a lake, and, of course, trees! We will explore every aspect, from adding the liquid white to signing your masterpiece. All supplies are provided, including a 9 x 12 canvas. We will be working with oil paints just as Bob did, so your painting will still be wet when you're ready to leave. I have plans to ensure your masterpiece gets home safely. All you need to bring is a snack, a soda or two, and your joyful spirit! You will learn to hold the brushes properly, how to load them with paint, and how to apply that paint to the canvas to achieve your vision. As you embrace the wet-on-wet technique, you’ll discover the wonders of painting flowing from your fingertips—an exhilarating experience for your first work of art. Prepare for a fun, entertaining, and educational session. The class is set for 1.5 hours, but if there's one or two of you, it might go quicker; with four or more, it may take a little longer.
