There is a daily bus service to Banbury and Daventry and from Banbury there is a train service for Oxford, London and Birmingham. Shakspeare's Stratford Upon Avon, Cropredy Festival and Silverstone are a short drive away. There is a plaque on the village hall to commemorate singer/songwriter Sandy Denny from the band Fairport Convention.

As there are 2 flights of steep stairs (one without a banister) between the bedrooms and the bathroom the house isn’t suitable for those with restricted mobility. Located in an ideal area for walking to Burghley House or travelling and exploring the local villages and places of interest such as Rutland Water. Unfortunately we are unsuitable for small children and wheelchairs due to the stairs.

Set on the fabulous cycle route around the water and with access to great walks directly from the house or a short drive away it’s a perfect location for exploring Rutland. Our village pub is a 3 minute stroll, serves food 7 days a week and offers our guests a 10% discount on their meals.
