The Blue Ridge Parkway has stunning views of the area. It's a great way to get a glimpse of the area. It is also a good launch for hiking. Be prepared for colder weather and rain. It is closed in the winter.

Our little art museum has a very cool collection of works by artists associated with Black Mountain College. I recommend this to anyone interested in the history of art of the area. In addition, the museum has some amazing glass pieces and art objects by Cherokee artists.
