Happy Valley

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Happy Valley is situated in the heart of the Normandy countryside at the end of a no-through road so no noisy passing traffic! It shares the site with our main home and 2 other gites. We're about 45 minutes from Mont St Michel; an hour from Bayeaux, Caen, Mayenne and Fougeres. It's another half an hour to the famous D-Day beaches. There are plenty of places to visit and things to do and of course lots of French markets and vide-greniers!

Cottage Normand au coeur de la vallée de la Vire

Ancienne Baronnie, cette maison récemment rénovée n'attend plus que vous. Datant du 18ième siècle, cette maison était connue de tout le village et encore aujourd'hui beaucoup d'habitants se rappellent y avoir passé un moment. La rénovation a porté sur la mise en valeurs des matériaux naturels (bois, pierre) en ajoutant un côté moderne. Emplacement stratégique à mi-distance du Mont St Michel et des plages du débarquement, nous serons ravis de vous conseiller lors de votre séjour.

Gîte 1 "Le Champ Bourdon"

Situés en pleine campagne, au calme, les gîtes du "Champ Bourdon" vous accueillent avec sa piscine couverte et chauffée à 28°, fermée 12-11-2025 au 10-02-2026 . A seulement 10mn, l'A84 vous permet d'accéder, en moins d'1 heure : au Mont St Michel et aux plages des côtes de la Manche. Par ailleurs, vous pourrez visiter la Cité de la Mer à Cherbourg, les plages du débarquement, différents zoos, le viaduc de la Souleuvre avec son saut à l'élastique et d'autres sites magnifiques .

Ferry ports at Saint Malo and Caen 90 minutes, Cherbourg 2 hours. Pit stop, short break or longer stay, comme tu veux.

The house is within easy reach of the Normandy beaches, national parks, castles and medieval cities. A basic retreat for lovers of nature and peace.
