Picturesque walks are right on the doorstep and it is an ideal ‘escape’ to explore historic Winchester and enjoy the lovely Hampshire countryside on the edge of the South Downs and River Itchen. This charming 3-bed cottage with private parking and garden is situated in Shawford, near to the historic town of Winchester. Walks along the River Itchen, swimming, fishing and picnic spots are on your doorstep. Local pub in Shawford and pubs in nearby village of Twyford. Winchester is also accessible by foot ( 45 mins) or a short 5 minute train or bus away. London is an hour by train and other local attractions include Marwell Zoo, Peppa Pig World, South Coast, Portsmouth and New Forest.

Own Front Door

Welcome to the beautiful city of Winchester! I have self contained central accommodation comprising of a double bedroom with en-suite shower room, a lounge with fridge/tea/coffee making facilities and your own private front door accessed from the street at ground level. The accommodation has been part of a massive renovation of the main house, now fully completed. Dating from the 1850’s it still retains a Victorian feel with high ceilings and sash windows. It is a lovely light, airy space.

The Pigsty

Winchester, Romsey and Stockbridge are just 20 mins away. On the doorstep of numerous cycle routes and footpaths including the Claredon Way (Sals-Win). King size bed & full-size bath with rain shower. From your private deck with log burner you will see various wildlife species and watch the stars at night.

Fantastic rural retreat! Gorgeous cosy space, very private with own secluded garden. Everything that you need for a relaxing break. Five miles from both Winchester and Romsey, a fifteen minute walk to the lovely village of Hursley with its two pubs and great walks! Perfect for IBM Hursley, Peppa Pig World/Paultons Park, the New Forest (25 minutes) and beaches (40 minutes). You can be in Southampton with cinemas, bowling, shopping etc in 20 minutes. A great exploring base!

The Annexe is a bright and airy self contained house separate from our home. The accomodation is over two floors with wonderful views out to the Hampshire countryside. We are on a quiet private country road 2 miles from the vibrant city of Winchester, 6 miles from Southampton Airport and 3 miles from IBM Hursley.
