Clifden, The Barn on the Wild Atlantic Way.

The Barn is a unique old stone barn but modern, with an open plan sitting/kitchen/ eating area with cathedral ceiling and a long narrow window overlooking the Salt Lake to one side, a small window looking down to the sea on the other. There are two bedrooms and a wet room style bathroom (no bathtub) but plenty of hot water and underfloor heating. It is wonderfully quiet, a real retreat for those who just want to escape. Mountain Mist cottage is a self catering unit situated just 2km from Spiddal Village and 18km from Galway City on the Wild Atlantic Way. Mountain Mist offers magnificent views from its elevated site showing Connemara in its true beauty, from Galway Bay, Cliffs of Moher, and the Aran Islands, to the Twelve Bins mountains to the rear of the cottage.The unit itself is at the rear of the hosts own house. Farm land surrounds the cottage,with great fishing and walking routes on your door step.

There is endless walking and climbing with Connemara National Park on the doorstep. The cottage is located along the Wild Atlantic Way within easy driving distance of beautiful beaches at Letterfrack and Renvyle. Guest Accommodation in Spidéal, No Wifi

This is a wooden chalet to the rear of our property that we use to accommodate family when visiting. The village of Spiddal is a 15 - 20 minute walk away and Galway City is 12miles or 17km away. There is a regular bus service ( the 424) You can catch the bus and get off the bus at the end of the road which is a 5 minute walk from the property but having a car is probably best. It's a great base for exploring Galway and Connemara etc. No WIFI
