Our cottage sleeps 5-6 and is nestled in the Cotswold escarpment below Rodborough Common with over 300 acres of open countryside giving dramatic views over Stroud and the Severn Vale. Off the beaten track but only a short walk to Stroud. A great place to stay anytime of the year but with a woodburner it is very cosy in the winter. Only 1.5hrs by train from London. Loads of good walks nearby inc Cotswold Way. Short drives to Bristol, Cirencester, Gloucester and Cheltenham. Highchair,cot, stairgate available.

Great for some R&R as night time is virtually silent and as we do not face directly down the Stroud valley we are luck enough to enjoy very little light pollution . Free off-street parking. Upstairs, beamed living/bedroom with comfy double bed, Smart TV& WiFi. Downstairs, well equipped kitchen-diner, shower room/toilet. 10-15min walk to Nailsworth centre with many eateries. Unfortunately unsuitable for those with mobility issues due to stairs/low pitched ceiling.

Walnut Cottage lies in the heart of Chalford Valley in the Cotswolds. It is set in a large garden beside the clear, trout filled River Frome. Nearby is the disused Thames Severn Canal with its delightful paths to Sapperton and Stroud. There is also a wide variety of beautiful wooded, grassland and meadow walks.
