This converted farmhouse is located in Kawakami Village, the source of the Yoshino/Kino river. The house sits just above an idyllic swimming spot, perfect for families to enjoy the cool, clear waters Guests will have the full property to themselves, which includes a handmade cedar bathtub with views across the river. Sanson Terrace "Silk Barn" in Quiet Countryside

Quiet Rural Retreat in a traditional Japanese house. We renovated a 80 years small wooden house by ourselves taking a long time. The building used to be used for raising silkworms by farms. It was our culture and industry to get silks in this area. You can have a calm time for having Coffee and beer, reading books, listening music... The village is surrounded by nature for hiking to mountains and rivers. Some local families live in around the house, so please stay like the village people.

築130年の古民家を、ホスト自ら時間をかけて丁寧に改装し、一棟貸しの宿としてよみがえらせました。年月を重ねた梁や柱、畳の寝室、囲炉裏や薪ストーブが、静かな温もりと落ち着きを宿に与えています。窓からは中央アルプスと四季折々の山里の景色が広がり、夜には満天の星が浮かび上がります。屋外には薪で湯を沸かす五右衛門風呂があり、希望があれば体験も可能です。キッチンには調理器具や調味料を揃え、囲炉裏での食事もお楽しみいただけます。畑では季節の野菜や米を育てており、収穫の時期には新鮮な食材に触れることもできます。日常を離れ、何もしない時間すら心地よく感じられる、そんな大人の滞在のための場所です。
