Walk out onto the New Forest, enjoy the scenic garden looking over fields packed with wildlife, or enjoy cycling along quiet lanes amongst grazing ponies, donkeys and cattle. Two good pubs are within 1.5 miles in either direction and the historic towns of Beaulieu and Lymington are 3 miles and 4.5 miles respectively away. The quaint historic shipyard of Bucklers Hard nearby has a museum, pub and marina. IOW close too.

Ideal for a family and children will love The Garden Wing, but there is access to the Japanese water garden, and bedroom 3+4 have unguarded stairs to unuseable mezzanine bunks ( see photos). It is located 2.6 miles away to the historic town of Yarmouth and is on the Isle of Wight Cycle route and perfectly situated for the huge amounts of walking trails West Wight has to offer through countryside and woodlands, beaches and towns.

The Bird Hide is ideal for singles or couples (max 2 people) interested in exploring the local area with its own garden and separate access. A comfortable king size bed, seating area and with it's own dining and inbuilt kitchen, it offers all you need for a short stay. It has a separate bathroom, as well as on outside decking area to catch the evening sun. The Bird Hide is 5 minutes walk from Freshwater Bay, even closer to footpaths to the Downs and the local village via the SSSI trail.

Quiet and peaceful yet 2 minutes' drive from a great village which has two super pubs. 5 miles from beaches and 3 minutes' drive to the wonderful New Forest. Bring your dog too, there are fields for them to run around in.

Step out of the back gate and onto the bridleway leading over the downs to our favourite place, Compton Bay.
