The beautiful family-run farm sits atop its own hill, overlooking the Merse river valley. The estate is spread over two thousand acres of land covering fairy tale woodlands, fantastic cypress avenues, holm oak and cork oak trees, fields of wheat, barley, sunflowers and maze, and groves of 3,000 olive trees from which a delicious DOP extra virgin olive oil is made. Each farmhouse has been renovated in great detail, the style, décor and charm of Montestigliano make it a special and unique destination for a wonderful, enjoyable and most importantly memorable holiday. The farm offers traditional Tuscan cooking classes and olive oil tastings, starlit dinners, pizza feasts and in-house private catering or massage services. While the surrounding area presents numerous opportunities to go on peaceful strolls in nature, taste typical dishes at local restaurants, go horse riding or on bicycle tours, visit a local market, relax in a hot spring or take an afternoon dip in the nearby river. Or you can enjoy a day trip to the seaside ending with a plate of delicious fresh fish, and of course, let’s not forget the region’s multitude of local wineries offering an exquisite array of wines from both the areas of Chianti and Val d’Orcia, to be samples alongside a platter of local cheeses and cold cuts. This traditional Tuscan “Casa Colonica” or country farmhouse, complete with furnished loggia (open-arched covered terrace) for alfresco dining on warm summer evenings, enjoys views of the surrounding woodlands as they are turned golden by exquisite sunsets. The house, which sleeps up to 10 guests (approx. 175sq m), is one of our most recent conversions and boasts a large, light and spacious open-plan kitchen/dining/living area with original features and a long dining table that is perfect for large family gatherings at any time of day. A long corridor leads to the 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. There is also a back garden with a partly covered terrace facing east, overlooking the beautiful countryside, the skyline of Siena and the Tuscan hills in the distance. A wonderful open space to enjoy the sun, dine under the pergola or light up a barbeque after a day at the swimming pool, which is just across the road.

L'appartamento si trova nel centro storico, a poca distanza da magnifiche chiese, luoghi storici e bar, in cui fare una dolce sosta. i parcheggi sono al di fuori delle mura di Montepulciano, ci sono parcheggi liberi ed a pagamento, proprio fuori la porta di Bacco si trova un parcheggio libero e salendo delle scalette si può accedere al centro storico. In paese passa il Pollicino ogni 10 minuti, piccolo autobus che percorre tutto il paese. Inoltre nella parte bassa del paese c'è la stazione degli autobus. linee per Chianciano per la stazione ferroviaria di Chiusi, per Firenze,Siena ed Arezzo. durante il soggiorno estivo gli ospiti potranno trascorrere una giornata in piscina presso la nostra abitazione in campagna.

The annex IL Forno sleeping 4, in front of the swimming pool, can be rented together with the main house only. At the disposal of the guests the large swimming pool (15 x 6 m - depth from 1.20 to 2.50 m) surrounded by a grassy garden with deck chairs and sun umbrellas.
