Originally built in 1597, this enchanting property has been lovingly refurbished to contemporary luxury standards. One of the finest chalets in Lech, the owners have thoughtfully retained many original features and cleverly combined sumptuous fabrics with both modern and antique furniture to create a chic and inviting alpine home. The terrace at this impeccable vacation rental enjoys sun all day and is perfectly situated to take in the breathtaking views. The chalet also features a spa area with a bio sauna and adjacent relaxation area. From here, glass doors lead to the outdoor hot bath – the perfect spot to watch the sunset over the stunning mountain skyline! After a long day on the slopes, you can also indulge in some soothing therapy in the private massage room. The upper hallway features a card playing area and a reading nook.

Aperitifs can be enjoyed in the dramatic ambience of the chalet’s traditional stone wine cave and cellar before dinner is served in the impressive dining room which seats fourteen. After dinner, retire to the cozy living area with a traditional Tyrolean “stube” heating oven, or take in a movie in the impressive cinema room. You can enter the chalet either through the winter wet room or directly into the living room. The ski prep area includes boot heaters and a separate powder room. A fireplace is located in the dining room which is catered from the well-equipped kitchen.

This chalet is set out over three floors and accommodates up to twelve guests in five spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The master suite features a large drawing/study room and a free standing bath tub. You will find a variety of sleeping arrangements from two emperor size beds, to twin beds, to singles in the children’s room. We recommend Chalet 1597 for a family holiday or a corporate retreat.

Located in the Stubenbach area of Lech, you can glide to the chalet from the Rüfikoft ski area on a marked off piste. Whether winter or summer, this area of Austria offers something for skiers, snowboarders, golfers, hikers, triathletes, classic car enthusiasts and music lovers alike. At Chalet 1597, you will discover a contemporary alpine retreat in complete harmony with nature and history.
