The Kolossi Castle was built in the 13th century and then reconstructed in the 15th century. When visiting the Castle inside you can reach the top and get stunning views! If visiting the area is worth combining with visiting the Ancient Kourion which is located a mere 10 minute drive!

Situated on the edge of the coastal town of Kolossi, which lies in the near vicinity of Limassol, the medieval Kolossi Castle is an excellent example of defensive architecture and one of few fortresses built on Cyprus by the French Empire that remains intact to this day. Although this centuries-old, monumentally proportioned castle lacks elegance and complex architectural elements, it is still very impressive and has a truly unique atmosphere, allowing its visitors make an interesting journey through time to the period of the Holy Crusades.
