Great seafood, interesting casual decor, in the heart of historic downtown New Bern. Tip: Weather permitting, they also offer rooftop dining -- beautiful views especially at sunset! At busy times you'll need to stop by to get on the list for a rooftop table; while you wait you can stroll around downtown.

Consistently good seafood and steaks. Named for the ship's chandlery that used to be in the building. They have rooftop dining.

I love going to Captain Ratty's for lunch! I and a coworker go here to eat at least once a week. The cannonball shrimp are absolutely amazing. And the service at lunch is great!
