Kev and I recommend the Forge for a fabulous home brewed pint of Viaduct and home cooked curries. we regularly stop for a drink or 2 and then take a curry home on a Friday or Saturday.

Popular local village Pub and MicroBrewery 100m from the River Wye serving excellent real ales, ciders and lagers. Selection of bar snacks. Incorporating an Indian Restaurant.

Not your ‘usual’ dining experience, but the outstanding reviews speak for themselves at this pick’n’mix pub. The Forge Hammer is located in Lower Lydbrook and set in the Wye Valley, just 100m from The River Wye. The onsite microbrewery supplies two cask ales, as well as an experimental beer (all vegan friendly). It adjoins to Rive Spice Indian take-away and also from Easter until the end of September, there is a Gourmet Burger truck situated in the car park, serving a selection of different snacks, meals and drinks. Open in the morning to serve early birds whether they be local, canoers, walkers or just passers by. Locals usually get their takeaway meals, microbrewed keg and sit on the banks of the River Wye, enjoying the delicious food in peaceful surroundings.

A simple riverside pub with a great Indian restaurant without any frills but the food is Fabulous. Give Andy's micro brewed Lydbrook Ale a go ..... brewed on the premises. One of Rick's favourite haunts. ENJOY!
