The entire Kancamagus highway is worth the scenic drive - it begins at Loon Mountain Resort and goes all the way to Jackson, NH which is another quaint NH town to explore. Along the way, there are many well-marked scenic overlooks where the views are stunning year-round, but particularly during the fall foliage. Take care in the winter, although NH generally does a great job treating roadways.

Requires a .1 mile walk in, has picnic tables, parking. Swimming is prohibited in the Gorge, but you can take a dip in the pools above the falls.
