The Confluence is a vast network of mountain bike trails, hiking trails, and waterways. Here the North and Middle Forks of the American River converge in a canyon with lots of quick access to clean, cold, swiftly moving water. The banks of the rivers in the area are full of day use by 11 a.m. on weekends; best to get an early start to stake your claim.
