I LOVE this beach. Huge, never feels crowded, nice sandy beaches, gorgeous surroundings and you can access it via public transport, by bike*, or by driving. *I consider 40km a really nice bike ride.

2 minute drive to a lovely beach where you can go for a walk, and enjoy the beach.

Less than 7 minutes to this river sandy beach. Great destination in summer and springtime. There's both paid and free parking (go early to get the free spots!).

Petrie Island is a local nature reserve with a beach, walking trails and more. A close option for relaxation or a picnic. Dogs are not allowed in this area. Lots of low cost parking; enjoy!
