Chania is said to be the most beautiful city in Greece not without reason. All roads lead to its historic Venetian harbor that caters for all tastes in food, coffee and sightseeing fun. Only a 20 minute drive from the villa.

The Venetian city of Chania is only 20 minutes drive from the villa or just take one of the many buses from the village which run regularly through the day and evening just a 5 minute walk away...It is such a beautiful city with cobbled streets and every type of taverna and restaurant; two harbours where you can simply have a drink or coffee to unwind. There is every kind of retail shopping in the main town which leads to the old city harbour including a massive undercover market with local cheese and mouth watering olives and of course local merchandise. Musuems and places to pamper your body or just sit in a horse drawn carriage and take a relaxing tour of all the main sites.. There is always something different to see and great for all the family with ice cream parlours to cool down on the hot days of summer. You can book a boat trip or mini cruises from the main harbour for a perfect day out.

Chania is a city on the northwest coast of the Greek island of Crete. It’s known for its 14th-century Venetian harbor, narrow streets and waterfront restaurants. At the harbor entrance is a 16th-century lighthouse with Venetian, Egyptian and Ottoman influences. Opposite, the Nautical Museum has model ships, naval objects and photographs. The old and new town offer many options for restaurants, bars, shops and daily amenities.
