And the West Coast national Park is scenic, with flamingoes in the Lagoon, in spring this is where the west coast flowers bloom, approximately 130km from Hout Bay so perhaps worth an overnight stay in nearby Langebaan

It's nestled inside the west coast nature reserve and is away from the city life. With breathtaking scenery against the spread of a crystal blue lagoon and white soft sand. The water is warmer and kid friendly with plenty of space for picnics and sunbathing.
