Here in Dublin, you are never very far away from national or international live music. Rathmines, a stones throw from Rathgar is no different. It has recently become home to a fantastic live venue called The Bowery. It has a nautical theme and serves a selection of craft rums aged in smoked barrels, and rum based cocktails. Resident DJs include Le Galaxie’s Michael Pope and Today FM’s Kelly-Anne Byrne. They have Irish bands such as, Ham Sandwich, The Eskies, Jerry Fish playing there. They also do free shows/nights: The Clandestinos, ska/punk/raggae ‘Go Funk Yourself’ Sunday funk sessions, Stand up comedy Mondays, SOS (open mic night) Shipstern Open Sessions, etc. This is a really great local
