An iconic and beloved waterfall that sits in a canyon made by Hvítá glacial river. Gull is gold in Icelandic, so we call it The Golden Waterfall. This comes from the sun hitting the muddy brown glacial water, giving the waterfall a golden hue. If you brave the lower path to the falls, you get very close to the water and will experience the spray from it first hand. So take your raincoat with you. The drive is about 60 km / 50 min, 10 minutes further than Geysir.
