The chapel, in Gothic style, was built in 1385 and his walls was decorated with frescoes by anonymous author, who were inspired to Giotto and his followers Maso di Banco and Roberto d'Oderisio. In 1877 all the paintings were covered, but in 1991 they were brought to light again through a restoriation work. In the area of the main altar are painted traditional episodes of assumption of Mary.
