Rusty is an ex US Champion and has been teaching in the region for about 30+ years - he's the only one with a license to teach at the Pass and Wategoes and does intimate one on ones!

It's one of the most recognisable images in surfing: the poster for the classic 1972 movie Morning of the Earth. The surfer on the left, standing ready to enter the waves at Uluwatu in Bali, is Rusty Miller. Born and raised in California, he settled in Byron in the 1970's.
