The Dundas Arms, a stunning 18th riverside gastro pub, is near the train station and less than 10 minutes’ walk from the cottage. The food is superb (if a little pricey), the setting delightful, with a lovely friendly ambiance. Closed Mondays & Tuesdays.

Lovely Pub on the canal front - restaurant can be a little pricey (around £18 a main meal) but the food is good. They do good pizzas too. When the sun is out the garden is glorious and you can sit by the canal and watch the world go by.

There is an easy walk from the canal in Hungerford to The Dundas Arms at Kintbury. The walk will take approx 1 hour 20 mins. If you don't want to do the return walk, get the train one stop from Kintbury to Hungerford! Easy!
