Established in 1972, Laidley Pioneer Village has developed into the excellent complex it is today through the vision and hard work of the foundation members and many volunteers of the Laidley District Historical Society. This was the first of such heritage villages in Queensland and has contributed to the education of thousands of visitors and school children. The Laidley Pioneer Village is situated south of the town on the site of the original resting paddock used by the teamsters for the Cobb & Co horses.
