for an interesting day start a hike at Carramar, stroll down to the the conservation hut, go down the valley of waters track to the empress falls, then cut across following the Nature Track. This track takes you over the Empress headwaters and up through many kinds of vegetation to the Fairmont resort. From there you can keep going to Sublime point lookouts, or go get a well deserved cocktail or linch before heading back
