Closest beach to Chapman House Arcata. It is not crowded and a great place to let your pooch run around. Pretty much all the beaches in the area are off-leash but this one tends to be one of the quieter beaches.

This place is beautiful and dog friendly. You can walk through the dunes to the ocean. On warm days the sand can get really hot for your feet as well as your pets. Our favorite time to go is low tide and see what gifts the ocean had left for use. Beautiful rocks and sand dollars.

Walk through the dunes to the beach. Great place to let your dog off-leash to run along the surf. Horse trails as well as hiking paths through the dunes, so horse encounters possible. Grab some deli food from Wildberries or the Arcata Co-op for a picnic on the beach.
