Really nice pier with a protected cove where you can rent kayaks.

The drive is beautiful, Hearst Castle is on the way, and much scenery to enjoy on the way.

Great beach and hiking. You can also rent kayaks. Eat at Sabastiens and taste wine at Hearst Ranch
