The quality of the Chinese food in Chinatown (Soho) is variable but this place is great. Best dumplings and bun rolls we've found in London and very reasonably priced. If you're shopping in Soho or Oxford St, stop here for lunch or dinner.

If you're looking to try something different for lunch, Imperial China offers great handmade dim sum at reasonable prices. They serve food all day but the dim sum is what makes this restaurant really stand out (make sure you ask for the dim sum menu). The dim sum is on par to some of London's best dim sum restaurants at a fraction of the price.

Good dim sum, v popular with locals. Local tip: to avoid excessive noise, sit on the first floor. Ideally by the window to glimpse the pond.
