Crisman Hollow Rd, Luray, VA 22835 Lion's Tail National Recreation Trail is a 0.4 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Luray, Virginia that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking. This trail is designed to be accessible to those with visual impairments with sensory features and signs in Braille. Portions of the trail enter the Passage Creek. Accessibility: Interpretive signs along the way have braille translations. User photos show the trail surface to be a combination of firmly packed gravel, rubber pads, and wooden boardwalk. Some portions will be just at, and optionally within, the Passage Creek. The slope is estimated to be mostly gentle (up to 6%) and water crossings are possible. The trail width varies and is estimated to be from 3-7 feet. It is unknown if there is any designated wheelchair-accessible car parking at the trailhead (south end).

Lions Tale is more of a trail, but mostly flat.

Follow the above Kennedy's peak directions but continue to the bottom of mountain. Turn left on Crisman Hollow Road. Go about 1 mile to parking area/Lions trail on right. Good for small children. From there, continue by car on about 3 miles to Story Brook on left. Short hike to overlook. Continue on road to Rt 211. Turn left to go back to Luray.
