There is a lighthouse on the top of the hill. You have to walk up around 500 staircases and along the way you will find colorful houses (old fashioned) and most of them nowadays are turned into small stop-and-go bar. drink a beer and keep going up and up!

Santa Ana Hill. (To arrive by car, it's about an 8 minute ride.) Located in Guayaquil's center, this is one of the main tourist attractions. Santa Ana hill has at the bottom of it, many art galleries, oftentimes throughout the year markets with work from local artisans, and restaurants. Going up the hill, visitors will be able to stop by at many of the bars, restaurants and other shops. And at the very top for those who will make it, there is a small St. Ana chapel and a lighthouse with views of the entire city. Beautiful day or night!

El cerro Santa Ana es el lugar donde nació Guayaquil. La colina de 60 metros de altura, es uno de los más importantes miradores de Guayaquil, pues permite efectuar un recorrido visual con un giro de 360 grados, en el que se aprecia por el norte: la intersección de los ríos Babahoyo y Daule que forman el Guayas; por el sur: el casco comercial de la ciudad; al este, la Isla Santay y Durán; y al oeste, el cerro del Carmen y el resto de la ciudad. En el mirador del cerro, hay binoculares especiales para uso del turista. El Cerro Santa Ana, además, es una zona turística, cuyo acceso se da por las escalinatas Diego Noboa, que tiene 444 escalones, en los que hay plazas, glorietas, museos, capilla, el faro, galerías de arte, tiendas de artesanía, cibercafés, bares y restaurantes.

Para ir a este lugar debes subir un total de 444 escalones, es recomendable hacer pausas para tomar aire, en el camino puedes ir disfrutando de la comida y bebidas típicas, también encontrarás bares karaoke. Al llegar al Faro, podrás disfrutar de una vista espectacular de Guayaquil.
