Unique to Kapiti, this is a cool little cafe located in a bus with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. A bit like going to a festival without the music!

The Bus Stop Cafe at 55 Sims Road Te Horo is one of the best kept secrets on the coast. My absolute favourite place to go to enjoy Kirsty’s fabulous home baked snacks, cakes and coffee. The cafe is located down a winding path beautifully landscaped which opens up to wonderful al fresco dining areas with multiple options to enjoy the sun and ambience. Only open weekends so check the website for opening hours. Top tip - get there before midday as Kirsty’s gorgeous food sells out fast

Kirsty's Bus Stop Cafe is a favourite with the locals. Trained by Ruth Pretty Catering, Kirsty is open Friday to Sunday, from 10am to 3pm. Out-catering may also be available, organised in advance. Set in gorgeous gardens. Kirsty is a fabulous cook and prepares a range of delicious items at very reasonable prices. Horse tie-up available and dog-friendly. Usually closed over Christmas / New Year.

A wee gem in Te Horo. Popular with anyone in the know! Quirky retro cafe set in a creative garden. Tasty morsels. Stunning coffee. Set in a much loved garden, with a multitude of funky seating areas. Perfect summer and winter.
